Enjoy winter break with your troop, crew or as a provisional camper. The Southwest Florida Council Winter Camp experience at Camp Miles offers a fun way to advance in Scouting. Space is limited to the first 350 Scouts and leaders.
A $25 non-refundable deposit per person is required at the time of registration online.
Troops/Crews with more than three Scouts attending Winter Camp must register as a unit and may not attend as provisional campers.
ARROW OF LIGHT SCOUTS WHO ARE CROSSING OVER TO BOY SCOUTS NEED TO REGISTER WITH THEIR TROOP - NOT AS PROVISIONAL, UNLESS THE TROOP IS NOT ATTENDING. ARROW OF LIGHT SCOUTS MUST BE REGISTRERED AS A MEMBER OF A BOY SCOUT TROOP BEFORE THE START OF WINTER CAMP.
Merit Badges: Over 30 offered, including challenging Eagle required badges. NEW for the 2017 Season: Wood Carving, Kayaking, Mining in Society, Robotics, Safety, Traffic Safety, Disability Awareness, Scouting Heritage and the Paul Bunyan Award.
Shooting Sports: .22 rifle shooting, shotgun shooting, archery, tomahawk throwing and much more.
Aquatics: Swimming, sailing, canoeing, kayaking, and Mile Swim.
Scoutcraft: Fire building, orienteering, dutch oven cooking, wilderness survival and much more.
50 Foot Climbing Tower: Rock climbing on six challenging routes. Learn the skill of rappelling.
Specialtiy Programs
SCUBA: PADI Discover SCUBA program offered daily.
First Year Camper Program: Complete many requirements for the Tenderfoot. Learn the basics of the Patrol Method.
Second Year Camper Program: Complete many Second Class and First Class rank requirements in a patrol method environment.

Staff Opportunities
Interested in being a camp staff team member? There are a few positions still available. All staff members must be 15 years of age or older. Staff development training will take place on the following two weekends:
December 8 - 10, 2017
December 15 - 17, 2017
